How we choose TEDx Speakers
The selection process for TEDx events is often quite elusive, but we want to ensure that we’re as transparent as possible so that we get the best quality speakers.
We assess each application to see whether the talk idea is unique and an idea worth spreading.
We then interview the candidate to understand the direction and legitimacy of the talk and ask for a two minute video submission.
Our team then review the videos and pick the best talks that are most appropriate for our theme.

How to become a TEDx Speaker
We receive thousands of applications for each event, so you really do need to stand out with your talk.
Here are some pieces of advice we give:
⭐️ Make sure you have your talk title and idea determined
⭐️ Apply with the reason why you’re the person to deliver this talk and no one else
⭐️ Ensure the talk is an idea worth spreading and not just a personal story
⭐️ Check the theme correlates with your talk title. If not, perhaps apply to a different TEDx
⭐️ Do your research first and show your passion rather than sending a blanket application to each organiser
⭐️ Use the proper channels and don’t try to bombard the organiser on social channels.
If you feel that you can do the above, then we’d love to hear from you!
